Video: Simon Doonan on “How to Travel Beautifully”

Simon Doonan is a world-renowned style maven. He’s published books, appeared on TV shows (as a judge on America’s Next Top Model and Project Runway), written memoirs about his fabulous life, all the while serving as the Creative Director of the mega-swank and stylish department store Barneys New York.

Doonan’s book, Beautiful People, all about growing up in grim, suburban England also served as the inspiration for the TV show of the same name, currently airing on Logo. The show is a hoot (think The Wonder Years meets Ab Fab), and every episode finds young Simon and his best friend Kylie dream of the jet-set lives they’ll lead once they escape their humdrum hometown.

All grown up, Doonan himself has been known to dash all over the planet for his glamorous job, or just to see the sights. So it seemed like a good idea ask him, style guru that he is, what are some secrets to traveling stylishly. And which are his favorite places on Earth?

Watch the interview below, which is part of a video blog series from LogoOnline called “Beautiful Moments.” You might be surprised at what Simon says…
