Victoria Falls Fast Facts:
- Victoria Falls is easily reached by air depending which side of the river you are staying on. Fly to Livingstone Airport on the Zambia side or Victoria Falls Airport on the Zimbabwe side.
- Victoria Falls are among the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. David Livingstone gave the falls the name in honor of his Queen, but the indigenous name of 'Mosi-oa-Tunya' - literally meaning the 'Smoke that Thunders' - is also well known.
- Activities at the Falls include bungee jumping, white water rafting, safaris, river cruises and lunch on Livingstone Island. Some visitors even dare to take a dip in the Devil's Pool, on the literal edge of the falls.
