Pick up a rental car in Cape Town and plan a 3 day trip along the Garden Route, stopping in Mossell Bay, Knysna, Plettenberg Bay and Port Elizabeth amongst many other gorgeous seaside towns.
Knysna is home of the Knysna Elephant Park where you can spend the night, then wake up at sunrise to ride the elephants around the massive reserve.
Between Knysna and Plettenberg Bay, stop off for a close-up animal experience at Monkeyland and Birds of Eden.
Between Plettenberg Bay and Port Elizabeth, jump off the world's tallest bungee jump at Bloukran's Bridge.
From Port Elizabeth, catch a quick flight to Durban where an excursion up to the famed Drakensberg Mountains begins, just a few hours drive outside of the city.
