2010 TripOut Gay Travel Awards: How to Get Nominated

Celebrating the 2009 TripOut Gay Travel Awards in Boston, November 2009. From left, Wynn Resorts’ John McCoy and Patrick Burkhardt, with LogoOnline’s Justin Garrett.

Last fall we  celebrated the winners of the first-ever TripOut Gay Travel Awards (Meet the winners!), but it’s not too early to start thinking about this year’s big honors. Would you like our voting academy of LGBT travel writers, editors and experts to consider your destination, your tour company, your favorite hotel, airline or bar?

Here’s what to do… It’s simple.

Email me at John.Polly@logostaff.com!

Well, first have a look at the 2009 award categories to see where your favorite destination, tour company, airline, hotel company, bar or travel professional fits in. Then email me and explain why you think they’re worthy of an award nomination.

Or, if you think we need an entirely new category for next year’s awards, tell us why and what that would be. We’re eager to hear what you think.

Like this year, for 2010’s awards we’re going to have a panel of LGBT travel writers and editors choose the nominees. But we’re open to suggestion and would love to hear from you!

In the meantime, thanks again for visiting and checking out (and hopefully voting for) this year’s nominees. Even in our strapped economic times, it’s an exciting time for LGBT travel.

Thanks,

John Polly, Editor

I think it would be wonderful to have best gay & lesbian travel agency as a category as well! :)

I too would like to see a new category (Cruise Line) added to next years selections. I sail CUNARD and they graciously welcome LGBT guests by scheduling and publishing in the Daily Programme a “Friends of Dorothy” now aka “LGBT Rainbow” meeting so members of the community can meet and network during the voyage.
